The Dark Side of AI and Photo-Generative Technology: Protecting Yourself in the Digital Age.
I’ve always been a huge fan of cutting-edge technology and innovations. It’s amazing how far we’ve come in such a short time. What are some recent cutting-edge technologies and innovations that have emerged in the last couple of years?
One of the most hyped technologies is AI, as the era of Artificial Intelligence has begun. I have always been fascinated by various AI models, and there will be even more advanced AI models in the near future. For example, there is photo generative AI, where you can give a simple prompt and the AI generates a photo according to your prompt. The better the prompt, the better the result. However, it’s not just limited to that. Some big companies like Adobe have started integrating AI into their apps, which is both exciting and concerning.
While AI has many benefits and potential, it has also raised concerns. It’s like a kind of Frankenstein’s monster — a creation that has been brought to life but over which we have no control. And just like in the story of Frankenstein, the true horror of photo-generative AI isn’t just in its appearance but in its actions. Unfortunately, there are already communities on platforms like Facebook, Discord, Telegram, and subreddits where sick-minded individuals take random pictures of girls and undress them to create complete nude pictures. The problem is that they cannot delete these photos once they are generated. Once you generate a photo, it cannot be deleted.
There is an English proverb, ‘Curiosity killed the cat.’ Imagine a person from one of those groups taking your photo and turning it into a nude. When you eventually see the photo, you might wonder when you took that picture because you can’t remember. Believe it or not, the generated images can be incredibly realistic and of high quality. Therefore, please be aware of the consequences before posting your own or your child’s photo on social media.
Some sisters upload photos wearing hijab, but even with a hijab, all it takes is for someone to take a screenshot and use Adobe Photoshop or other tools to generate an AI prompt to remove your clothing. Do not let the modern world fool you into thinking that you have to upload your pictures or document every aspect of your life on social media. Guard yourself because there are predators and people out there with unspeakable fetishes for Muslim sisters. They want to see you without clothes. These people will not hesitate to shame you. It is now upon you to protect yourself and your honor by removing your public pictures from the online space.
